Spectacle blinds / blinds / orifice plates

H 100 series

The blind disc is used to shut off pipe sections for pressure testing. In order to avoid the triggering of safety devices or to limit the volume of pressure spaces, a spectacle blind is clamped between two flanges.

The separate blind plug-in washer is used for pressing off or the ring plug-in washer is used as a spacer for continuous operation. The standardized spectacle lens is preferably used, in which the ring and round blank are firmly connected to one another by a web. Both parts have the same thickness and are designed with sealing surfaces that match the clamping flanges.

The ring and round blank of the blanking discs are turned on all sides. The sealing surfaces correspond to the mating surfaces of the clamping flanges in terms of processing degree, shape and fineness. The connecting webs for eyeglass blinds or the identification tabs are made of flat iron and welded in. The identification is stamped and engraved on the bars or tabs. DN, PN, sealing surface shape, material, batch number and manufacturer's mark are the standard signature. Customer-specific TAG or KKS numbers are often added.

Sheet metal, burned out to form a ring and blank, is used as the starting material for the blank. The material is specified according to the pipe class and is certified according to AD-2000, DIN or ASME or ASME Code. Mostly P265GH (HII) and 1.4571 are our standard. Almost all other sheet metal materials can be used if required. The identification of the blanks by stamping enables them to be identified. This offers the possibility of supporting certificates according to EN 10204 - 3.1 or 3.2 with the acceptance according to customer-specific delivery conditions. Examples of this are the delivery conditions according to the sour gas regulations (NACE) with analysis restrictions, ultrasound testing, evidence of impact work and determination of the hardness values. Final acceptance testing and expert stamping are mandatory for this application.
