Basket strainers according to the Kossik standard are coarse or fine strainer with cleanable basket inserts for product filtration as well as protective filters. The main task is in Permament operation as protection against process-related damage to solids and corrosion products.

Two nozzles with welding neck flanges are welded into a base pipe. Seamless tubes are used as standard for the housing. The sieve can be inserted, removed and cleaned through the service opening (blind flange) on the housing. The fitting of the sieve insert into the housing is the essential construction and manufacturing detail. Kossik basket strainers combine the strainer insert and the housing individually and thereby guarantee bypass-free and safe filtration.

Flushing nozzles in the service opening (blind flange) or residual emptying nozzles are available. They are designed with a weld-on end, flange connection and shut-off valve or with a socket and plug. Pressure gauges, valve blocks, measuring lines or just the connecting sleeves are available for differential pressure monitoring. Pivoting device or hinge as well as handles or lifting eyes on the service opening (blind flange) are recommended for larger nominal sizes.
